Privacy notice
This covers the website you're reading and the account you use to sign in. It does not describe how any individual hospital handles patient data in its own systems.
Placeholder for legal review. The legal entity name, registered address, data protection contact and supervisory authority still need filling in by whoever owns the MedVerse legal entity. Everything below describes what the site and the software actually do.
What this website collects
The site serves static pages. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no tracking cookie. Nothing is written to your browser's storage.
Two things do reach a third party when you load a page:
- Fonts. Inter and IBM Plex Mono are requested from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and user agent. If your organisation would rather that did not happen, tell us and we'll serve the fonts from this domain instead.
- Web server logs. The server records the request line, response status, IP address, referrer and user agent. Logs are kept outside the application container and rotated on a fixed schedule.
The enquiry form
The contact form does not post to a server. It assembles what you typed and opens your own email client with the message ready to send, so the details go directly from you to sales@medverse-eg.com. We then hold that email for as long as the enquiry is live and for our normal business record-keeping period afterwards.
Please don't put patient identifiers into that form. If a support case needs a study, ask us for a secure upload link.
Your MedVerse account
Signing in happens on login.mvdicomviewer.com, which is a separate service with its own records. It stores the identity details your organisation supplied, your licence entitlement, and a sign-in history used for security monitoring.
What the desktop application stores
The viewer keeps retrieved studies in an encrypted cache on the workstation. That cache contains patient data, and your organisation, not MedVerse, is the controller of it. Retention is governed by the policy your administrators set: a maximum age, a maximum size, or both. Neither images nor patient identifiers are sent to MedVerse.
The client does contact the licence service to validate entitlement. That exchange carries the account identifier, the licence reference, the application version and the machine's operating system, and nothing about the studies being read.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to how it's used. Write to the address in the placeholder block above and we'll respond within the period your local law requires.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, the change will be described here rather than buried in a version bump.
